Alvin has over 35 years of management experience in computer technology he has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology and was a founding employee and retired director of Information Technology at XM Satellite Radio. In 2005, he and his wife, Cheryl, created the Fisher Family Scholarship Fund, which has awarded over 20 scholarships to high school students going to College.

While still working in 2008 he founded ACAII Records and released his first single record as a Jazz Flutist. After retiring in 2010, Alvin continued to pursue his passion for music as a professional musician. After forming The Alvin Fisher Band he recorded his CD "ABSOFLUTELY" also with his son Alvin Fisher II who played guitar in his band and plays on the CD. His music is played around the World and is available on all digital platforms and he has music videos on YouTube. He is a internationally known Jazz Flutist who has played with many nationally known musicians and singers.

In 2022 Alvin had a kidney transplant done at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He was able to receive a kidney from a very Altruistic living donor after learning of his need for a kidney. He made history by becoming the first kidney transplant patient at UPenn done by Robotic surgery. He will forever be grateful for what his donor did by donating their kidney to him. They have now become lifelong friends! This is a life event that continues to motivate his desire to help others.

Alvin is on the Advisory Board of Directors of the Inner City Cultural League Inc. and it's Sankofa Center of Dover, Delaware. The (ICCL) is a 501c3 nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to successfully creating and promoting an awareness of the arts highlighting the cultural and historical imagery of African American contributions to Delaware and our nation. Cheryl has over 20 years of management experience specializing in communications and public relations. She has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and earned a graduate certification in Cybersecurity. Cheryl retired from the federal government after 30 years of service; her last position held was the Director of Cybersecurity Strategic Planning and Policy. After retiring, Cheryl and her husband moved to Dover, Delaware. where she has happily become involved in the following:

• Serves as the Chief, Communications Officer for NERAK Natural Essence, Inc., an organic skin care company specializing in treating burns from breast cancer radiation treatments.
• Became a certified Master Gardner and currently serves as Secretary on the Board of the Kent County Master Gardeners.
• Serves as the Secretary for the Central Delaware NAACP.
• Established the Garden Ministry at Mt. Zion AME Church where she manages the community garden.
• Shares her love of gardening by teaching classes to seniors at the Green Thumb Garden Club at the Modern Maturity Center.
